Well, since we left, as a synopsis, we camped the first travel day in Something Obscure, TN….staying in two semi-rustic cabins, as pictured. We intended to drop in on Elvis’ home and do a little schtick, but it was pouring rain, so we drove right on past Union Avenue.

We got to Hot Springs, AK (Boyhood home of Bill Clinton, where he “did not do anythin with any of the local girls”, and moved into the Lake Ouchita State Park campgrounds and then dove a shore dive at the dam (dam many concrete steps up and down) and boated out to Zebra Rock and dove on a really diverse geologic site, – shale, broken (like a checkboard) magmous rock and more.

Sadly, after leaving Ouchita last night, between Dikerk (?) and DeQueen (really), AR, we had the trailer axle break and in the 100 degree heat at 9 p.m., we tried getting repairs, then trading, then selling, then packing ALL the stuff that was in the boat in the van and headed on up to Broken Bow, OK…where this is being posted from. Today: Lake Murray, OK..(after finding a U-haul trailer to put all the dive and camping gear in…Stay tuned.
